It’s that time of year… OH YES…Summer time!!! Hot weather, sunshine, and spending all day outside in the sun! Let not forget out favorite thing about summer, training at Confidence Martial Arts! As much fun as we have in class it is very important to remember some essential summer safety tips for working out. 1. HYDRATION!! This is the most important!! Make sure you and/or your child is drinking plenty of water during the day, especially if you are out enjoying the beautiful beaches here in Wilmington, NC. Also, bring water with you to class, and if you forget Confidence Martial Arts always sells bottled water! 2. Choose appropriate clothing. Wear loose-fitting clothing to allow air cirulation. Confidence Martial Arts allows “Summer uniforms” to give students a more light weight option then the traditional dobok, we encourage students to wear these durring the hot summer month. However, we make sure the dojahng is kept at a cool temperture because sometimes we just feel better in our dobok! 3. Most importantly, listen to you body! Stop immediately if you feel dizzy, faint, or nauseous and tell your instructor right away! Keep these tips in mind for safe training this summer at Confidence Martials Arts so we can all have a great time working out together!
