Confidence Martial Arts would like to introduce one of our newest black belts: Cameron Oslin! Mr. Oslin started training at our Academy when he was 9 years old, and 3 years later at age 12 he has earned his 1st degree black belt. Mr. Oslin received his black belt at our graduation on Monday, August 18th 2014. Mr. Oslin is one of our most hard working students and a member of our Leadership Program. You can find Mr. Oslin training several days a week and always lending a helping hand to his fellow class mates. Mr. Oslin may only be 12 years old but ask any of our adult students, he is no push over when it comes to sparring. He has even placed first in sparring and combat weapon sparring in tournaments! He is defiantly very competitive, as he has also won several of the contest that we have done here at Confidence Martial Arts!
Check out this interview with Mr. Oslin:
Q: What is your favorite part about being a black belt?
A: Learning the weapon forms and new traditional forms and getting to do cooler board breaks!
Q: What is your next goal in taekwondo?
A: To get my 2nd Degree Black Belt.
Q: What is your favorite weapon to use?
A: The Ssahng-joel-bongs.
Q: Tell us a fun fact about you that is not related to martial arts?
A: I love to do soccer when I’m not doing Taekwondo! (If he is as aggressive in soccer as he is with sparring I know I wouldn’t want to play against him!) Mr. Cameron Oslin is a great role model, and many of the young men who train here with him are looking up to him. Mr. Oslin’s dedication and competitive spirit are an asset to our classes that is irreplaceable, and we can’t wait to see how far he goes in his martial arts journey!
